Para Rigo, pela competência comprovada e compromisso com a população, Pedro Fernandes e Hildo Rocha têm tudo para melhorar ainda mais o índice de desenvolvimento do Maranhão nos setores de educação e de infraestrutura, duas das principais metas almejadas pela governadora Roseana Sarney (PMDB).
O parlamentar informou que já teve uma reunião com o novo secretário de Educação, Pedro Fernandes, acompanhado de alguns prefeitos, inclusive os prefeitos de Formosa da Serra Negra e Itaipava do Grajaú, e de um grupo e de um grupo de lideranças de Jenipapo dos Vieras, um município vizinho a Barra do Corda.
Depois a reunião, Rigo revelou que já houve o primeiro despacho com o novo secretário Pedro Fernandes, que fez questão de mostrar a todos como funcionará a Secretaria de Estado de Educação durante sua gestão, que deve receber importantes inovações para beneficiar a população de todos os municípios do Maranhão.
