Nas praças Mané Garrincha e Cultura e no Viva Beira-Rio, o clima foi de muita festa, alegria e descontração.
O terceiro dia Carnaval da Alegria, que integra a programação do Carnaval do Maranhão 2013, foi iniciado por volta das 16h30, com a concentração dos blocos em frente ao Estádio Frei Epifânio, no Circuito Mané Garrincha, animados pela Jardineira e a Banda Eternos Carnavais, patrocinados pelo Governo do Maranhão, por meio da Secretaria de Estado de Cultura (Secma).
