O Plenário do Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE), por unanimidade, negou o envio de forças federais para o segundo turno das eleições no município de São Luís-MA.

Em São Luís, relatado pelo ministro Arnaldo Versiani, não houve sequer a requisição formal de força federal pelo Tribunal Regional Eleitoral do Maranhão. A solicitação foi feita por um dos candidatos ao segundo turno e por uma coligação. “Não há justificativa evidenciada de que necessite de requisição de força federal para a garantia da ordem no segundo turno no município de São Luís”, enfatizou Versiani. Os dois pedidos foram indeferidos por unanimidade.
