Maranhão perderá deputados se houver divisão do Pará
A criação dos estados de Carajás e Tapajós a partir do desmembramento do Pará, se confirmada no plebiscito marcado para 11 de dezembro, promete causar uma dança das cadeiras na Câmara dos Deputados.

Alguns estados terão que perder cadeiras a fim de abrir espaço para os deputados dos novos estados, já que uma lei complementar define como 513 o número máximo de parlamentares por legislatura.
“Vai ter que ser feita uma redivisão”, disse o presidente da Câmara, Marco Maia (PT-RS), quando indagado sobre a eventual criação das bancadas estaduais de Carajás e Tapajós.
A Constituição estabelece que nenhuma das unidades da Federação tenha menos de oito ou mais de 70 deputados.
Se a criação dos novos estados for aprovada, o Tribunal Superior Eleitoral (TSE) fará o cálculo da redivisão das cadeiras na Câmara, que leva em conta o número mínimo e máximo de parlamentares e a população dos estados.
As bancadas dos estados médios e grandes podem ter novas baixas se aprovadas as propostas em tramitação no Congresso para a criação do Maranhão do Sul e outros estados. (Do G1)
